Hi igraph community!
I’m excited to introduce myself as one of this year’s Google Summer of Code contributors!
My name is Bea. I’ve been working as a Python software developer for almost four years, and - fingers crossed - from this October, I hope to start my PhD at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. There’s still a bit of a journey ahead to make that dream a reality, but I’m hopeful!
For my GSoC project, I’ll be creating a hands-on guide to community detection using igraph. The guide will be especially geared toward users who are new to the topic and want to explore igraph’s built-in algorithms for community detection.
This project is a great challenge for me, and I’m thrilled about the opportunity to learn new things and contribute to a tool used by people all over the world. I’ll be sharing updates about my journey on my blog - I’ll try to post regularly, even though writing doesn’t come easy for me. You can also follow my work on GitHub.
I’m really happy to be part of this community. Thank you for the warm welcome and the chance to work with you - I’m really looking forward to it!
Bea
